The internet can be a wonderful place for finding information and great for communication, but we all need to know how to use it safely.

 

Children and learners are likely to have internet access in mulitple places, so it's important to equip them with the skills to handle this new technology in a safe and secure manner.

 

We actively encourage internet safety awareness amongst students, teachers and parents.

 

To help teachers educate children on how to stay safe on the internet, Becta, the DfES and QCA have developed the Internet Proficiency Scheme for Key Stage 2 pupils.
